Launchpad is a project from semester 2 of my final year of my degree from a self-written brief. The project is based around encouraging children to be more engaged with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) from a younger age to help bridge the expected shortfall of people graduating in STEM subjects. The main idea of the project is to show them that STEM subjects can be fun and easier than they seem.

Initially, the project idea was to design a campaign that would target the parents of these children. However, this idea quickly turned into creating an app for the children themselves that combines mini games with education. The app focuses around aerospace engineering and astronomy, putting context to different areas of our solar system. It relates space to real world contexts in a fun and engaging way.
